Privacy Policy

This policy explains what LaunchQuack LLC ("LaunchQuack," "we," "us") collects, why, who helps us handle it, and how long we keep it.
1. What we collect
- From checkout: your name, email, and billing details. Stripe processes your card. We don't see or store your full card number.
- From the intake form: your first name, email, book title, genre, whether the book is meant to bring you clients, the manuscript's status, and your answers to the form's questions.
- Your manuscript and the Assessment we create from it.
- Referral details: if a friend referred you, the code or link you used.
- Emails you send us, such as support questions or refund requests.
- Website data: pages you visit, the device and browser you use, and how you found us. See section 8.
2. Why we use it
- To create and deliver your Assessment
- To take payment, issue refunds, and pay referral fees
- To answer your questions and send emails about your order, including one follow-up email after delivery asking how your revision is going
- To keep records the law requires
We don't sell your personal information. We never share your manuscript or Assessment with anyone for advertising.
3. Who helps us
We use trusted service providers to run the service: payment processing, forms and file uploads, automation, AI, file storage, email, PDF creation, and our website. They handle your information only to run the service for us.
4. Your manuscript
- We use your manuscript only to create your Assessment, and for support, refunds, and legal needs.
- We delete your manuscript about 30 days after delivery, from our storage and from our intake form.
- We don't use it to train AI models.
- Manuscripts can mention other people. We handle that material only to create your Assessment.
5. Your Assessment
We keep your Assessment so we can help with questions and future reassessments of the same book. If you'd like us to delete it, email us and we will. Just know that a reassessment builds on your original Assessment, so once it's deleted, we can't reassess that book.
6. How long we keep other information
We keep order, payment, and tax records as long as the law requires, usually about 7 years. Support emails are kept as long as they're useful for helping you.
7. Your choices
- Access, correction, or deletion: email orwell@launchquack.com, and we'll respond within 30 days.
- Emails: you can reply "stop" to any non-order email.
- If you live in a state with its own privacy law, you may have added rights, and we'll honor them.
8. Cookies and website tracking
Our website uses cookies and similar tools from Squarespace Analytics, Google Analytics, and the Meta (Facebook) Pixel. They help us see how people use the site and measure and show our ads. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, opt out of Google Analytics at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout, and manage Meta ads in your Facebook ad settings. These tools never receive your manuscript or your Assessment.
Do Not Track. Our website doesn't currently respond to browser Do Not Track signals.
9. Security
We use reputable providers, limit who can access your files, and delete manuscripts on the schedule above. No system is perfectly secure, so please don't send anything beyond what the service needs.
10. Location and age
LaunchQuack serves customers in the United States who are 18 or older. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

We'll post any update here with a new date.
